AC won’t work Jeep Wrangler

Fix AC won’t work Jeep Wrangler

Jeep has identified a source of refrigerant leakage from 2011 Jeep Wranglers. If you own a Jeep Wrangler built between 1/4/11 and 1/7/11, you may have a defective A/C compressor. Apparently the compressor shafts have large scratches near the seal that allow refrigerant to leak out. Jeep has released a revised compressor #55111401AF and it’s the ONLY fix for the problem. Take a look at the back of the compressor. If the serial number begins with 010, it’s defective. If it starts with another number, the scratches are not the problem.

If the vehicle is still covered by warranty, go to the dealer ASAP for a free replacement.
