The problem appears as a lit air bag or SRS light. If you scan the system you may encounter any of these trouble codes;
B0012 0E, b0013 0E, b0016 0E, b0019 0E, b0020 0E, b0022, b0023 0E,
B0033 0E, B0040 0E, or B0042. These codes set in the sensing and diagnostic module (SDM).

Start your diagnosis by checking for a loose, missing or broken retainer at the airbag designated by the trouble code. These connectors are referred to as Connector Position Assurance (CPA). They employ a retainer to prevent them from becoming loose or dislodged. However, if the retainer is missing, the connections may not make proper contact. If the connector is loose, disconnect it and reinstall the connector body completely. Then insert the CPA completely. If the CPA is missing, replace it.
