pacifica wont start

Car won’t start

If you own a Chrysler Pacifica and your Pacifica car won’t start or starts hard in freezing weather, you might have a problem with a sticking idle air control motor. The idle air control motor lets air bypass around a closed throttle plate. But when temps are below freezing the motor can stick.

Chrysler has issued a Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) #18-004-06 Rev A to address the problem. The fix applies to all 2004 vehicles with the 3.5L engine built after July 12, 2003 and all 2005 vehicles with the 3.5L and 3.8L engines built before Feb 28, 2006.

To fix the problem, replace the IAC motor with an updated version. Contact the dealer for the most current part numbers.
