How to fix a stalling Trailblazer
If you have a Chevy Trailblazer stalling or rough idle, read this post. The problem is worse if the A/C is on. A dirty throttle body may be the cause of the problem. A carbon buildup may prevent the throttle from closing, allowing too much air to enter the engine at idle.
Remove the ductwork the air filter to the throttle body and use a clean shop rag and carburetor cleaner to remove the carbon buildup. This cleaning procedure should fix the problem. Make sure you do this with the engine off. Then check the operation of the throttle. It should be smooth and experience no binding. If it binds, it must be replaced.
