Meguiars introduces hybrid ceramic quick clay kit

Car lovers often use a clay bar to remove embedded contaminant in the paint before polishing and waxing. A clay bar is used with a liquid detailing fluid that’s sprayed on first. The detailer acts as a cleaner and lubricant to help the clay bar slide across the paint’s surface. The Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Quik Clay Kit works like a traditional clay bar to remove embedded surface contaminants but the detailer and clay embedded pad make the job much easier and produce a better shine when the job is done.

When using a clay bar, you have to continually fold and knead the clay in the palm of your hand to keep a fresh surface in contact with the paint. Meguiar’s provides a soft foam pad that’s treated with synthetic clay. The clay is made with a fine tuned polymer technology that removes surface contaminants without hazing the paint or marring the finish. Better yet, you never have to knead clay ever again. Simply spray the panel with Meguiar’s Hybrid Ceramic Detailer solution and wipe the foam pad across the surface. When you’re done treating a panel, simply wipe it dry with a microfiber cloth.

Meguiar’s ceramic detailer solution provides silicone dioxide (SiO2) protection that repels water. SiO2 is produced from silica (sand) that’s chemically processed to form nanostructures that pack so tightly together into a structure they prevent water from penetrating through the structure. In other words, the particles fit together like a puzzle with only their sharp tips facing out. When water hits the tips, it bounces off. The SiO2 formula adheres to a substrate (your car’s paint) on one side, but repels water on the other side.
