Ford TSB fix for Hard start, no start Escape, Fusion, MKZ

Ford has issued a service bulletin #16-0075 to address a Hard start, no start Escape, Fusion, MKZ condition. The symptoms usually appear right after refueling. If you fill up with gas and can’t start your Escape or Fusion, this bulletin may be for you.

Vehicles affected

2013 Escape Built on or before 11/9/2013

2013-2014 Fusion Built on or before 11/9/2013

2013-2014 Lincoln MKZ Built on or before 11/9/2013

Hard start, no start symptoms

Right after refueling you may notice extended cranking before firing up or a no start condition. You may also notice a check engine light with trouble codes P1450, P0456 stored in memory.

Here’s how to fix the Hard start, no start Escape, Fusion, MKZ

Replace the evaporative emission canister purge valve with an updated part.
