P0441 or P04F1 on CRV — Service Bulletin Fix

Learn how to fix a P0441 or P04F1 on a Honda CRV using the Honda Service Bulletin

Honda has issued a service bulletin #21-081 to address a P0441 or P04F1 on the vehicles listed below. Honda has determined that external radio waves cause fluctuation of sensor outputs in the wiring harness that cause the ECM to miscalculate and set PO441 (EVAP System Purge Flow Malfunction) PO4F1 (EVAP System Low Purge Flow Detected) trouble codes.

Fix for Honda CRV P0441 or P04F1

Honda has developed a “sub cord” to replace the portion of the wiring harness causing the problem. Some vehicles require the replacement on both the left (B cord) and right side sub cords (A cord), while others only require the passenger side cord.

This fix only applies to the vehicles listed below

How to replace the wiring harness

Remove the passenger and/or the driver’s side door sill trim panel
Remove the passenger and/or the driver’s side kick panel.
Locate the wiring harness and replace with the updated sub cord
