Fix for Jeep Blower squeal squeak
Fiat Chrysler has issued a service bulletin # 24-009-18 on the vehicles listed below to address a Jeep Blower squeal squeak issue. The noisy Jeep blower can occur while the air conditioning is being operated and under the following conditions:
The blower is on maximum speed.
Cooling is set to maximum.
The temperature dial is set to the middle position.
When the two air diffusers are opened to the maximum setting.
Do NOT replace any parts to correct the problem. Jeep has come up with a software fix to prevent the Jeep Blower squeal squeak
Vehicles affected by service bulletin # 24-009-18
2015-2017 Jeep Renegade built on or before November 27, 2017 and equipped with AC (HAA) and manual temperature control.
Most reputable shops can perform the software update to correct the squeal problem. This service bulletin fix is NOT free. Shops will charge around $150 to perform the upgrade
