Oil pan gasket tip
If you have to replace an oil pan gasket, try this oil pan gasket tip.
Oil pan gaskets used to be easy to replace. Today, you have to remove about 20 components just to get the pan away from the block. You may even have to lower the engine cradle to thread the pan out. How do you keep the new gasket in place while you worm it back into place? With these cool gasket holders from Dorman. You screw them into the block and snap the gasket onto the prongs. Then move the pan into place, screw in a few bolts to hold the pan up, then unscrew these gasket holders. Dorman part #45722
