Fix trouble codes P0087 and P0192 on VW

Volkswagen has issued a service bulletin 2024438 to address a P0087 VW, P0192 VW
Trouble code issue relating to fuel pressure. The bulletin applies to the vehicles listed below

2008-11 Eos, Passat, Passat Wagon, CC, GTI, Jetta, Tigua with the 2.0 CCTA, CBFA engines.

If your scan tool shows either of these codes P0087 VW, P0192 VW, check the reported fuel pressure on your scan tool versus the actual pressure using a fuel pressure guage. If the difference between reported and actual is greater than 73-psi, check the wiring to the fuel pressure sensor for chafing or faults. If the difference is still over 73-pis, replace the fuel pressure sensor.

If the difference between reported and actual is less than 73-psi, don’t replace the fuel pressure sensor. Instead, replace the high pressure fuel pump
