Fix P0138 code on a Hyundai

If you have a P0138 Hyundai trouble code, be aware that these vehicles are very sensitive to the BRAND of oxygen sensor you install. A P0138 02 Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Bank I Sensor 2) means the post cat sensor is seeing a rich mixture and that would be confirmed by the P0172 System too Rich (Bank 1) code as well.

Shop are reporting really bad experience with aftermarket oxygen sensors on Hyundai vehicles when trying to repair the P0138 Hyundai issue.

If you install a Bosch, NTK, Denso or anything other than a genuine Hyundai oxygen sensor, be prepared to get a P0171 lean code following the replacement. The only fix is to remove the aftermarket sensor and install a genuine Hyundai oxygen sensor.
