Fix trouble codes P2111, P2112, Low idle, idle fluctuates condition on Ford

Ford has issued a service bulletin #10-21-6 to address a P2111, P2112, Low idle, idle fluctuates issue with the vehicles listed below:

2010-11 Focus, Fusion, Taurus

2010 E-150, E-250, Edge, F-150

2010-11 Flex

2010-11 Lincoln MKS, MKZ

2010 MKX

2010-11 MKT

If you own one of these vehicles and experience a P2111, P2112, Low idle, idle fluctuates issue read this article. The fix applies to the 2.0L, 3.5L (without GTDI), and 4.6L (2-valve) engines. The symptoms include idle speed drops lower than desired or idle speed fluctuates. To determine if this fix applies, first find the vehicle build date

For the 2.0L engine this applies to build dates 2/11/10 thru 8/2/10

For the 3.5L engine this applies to build dates 3/1/10 thru 8/3/10

For the 4.6L (2V) engine this applies to build dates 5/7/10 thru 8/2/10

Replace the electronic throttle body with updated model

Ford has issued replacement electronic throttle bodies to correct the problem.
