P2135 Chevy reduced engine power
GM has issued a service bulletin 11-06-04-007C to address a P2135 Chevy reduced engine power trouble in the vehicles listed below. code. A P2135 code is set if the PCM detects a difference between throttle position sensor 1 and throttle position sensor 2 and the difference lasts longer than 2 seconds. This is normally caused by a faulty electronic throttle body. However, in this case GM advises NOT to immediately replace the throttle body. The service bulletin lays out a very detailed method to recalibrate the throttle body which can save you a LOT of money. The bulletin is way too long and detailed to list here and it includes photos that I cannot legally reproduce. If you have this code and own one of the vehicles listed below, buy a short subscription to eautorepair.net or see if your local library offers access to manufacturers’ service bulletins.
