Buick Park Avenue Tire pressure sensor reset procedure

If you own a Buick Park Avenue and want to do a tire pressure sensor reset, follow these instructions.

2002-05

  1. Set all tire pressures to manufacturer’s specifications.
  2. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine off.
  3. Press the GAGE INFO button until TIRE PRESSURE is displayed.
  4. Press and hold the RESET button until TIRE PRESSURE RESET is displayed.
  5. Release the RESET button, TIRE PRESSURE NORMAL is displayed.

2000-01

Reset Using the Driver Information Center. This procedure takes 30 minutes of straight line driving in all three speed ranges to complete the calibration process

  1. Set all tires to the manufacturer’s recommended pressure.
  2. Start the engine.
  3. Press the SELECT buttons on the DTC to scroll until GAGE PAGE is displayed in the DTC.
  4. Press the SELECT buttons on the DTC within the GAGE PAGE display until the TIRE PRESSURE LOW message is displayed on the DTC.
  5. Press and hold the DTC RESET button on the DTC until the TIRE PRESSURE RESET message is displayed on the DTC.
  6. Release the button, the TIRE PRESSURE NORMAL message is displayed. The system is now in the autolearn mode.

1997-99

  1. Set all tires to the manufacturer’s recommended pressure.
  2. Start engine.
  3. Press the GAGES button on the IP until the TIRE PRESSURE message appears on the instrument cluster message center display.
  4. Press and hold the RESET button on the IP until the TIRE PRESSURE RESET message appears.
  5. Release the button, the TIRE PRESSURE NORMAL message appears. The system is now in the autolearn mode.
