Terrain Equinox rough idle, stall, hard start

Diagnose and fix Terrain Equinox rough idle, stall, hard start condition

GM has issued a service bulletin 17-NA-098 on the vehicles listed below to address a Terrain Equinox rough idle, stall, hard start, hesitation and trouble codes P0010, P0013, P0011, P0014. These vehicles have a high incidence of camshaft position actuator failures and GM has redesigned the part.

2010-12 Chevrolet Equinox with LAF or LEA engines
2010-12 GMC Terrain with LAF or LEA engines

Fix Terrain Equinox rough idle, stall, hard start, hesitation and trouble codes P0010, P0013, P0011, P0014 based on service bulletin 17-NA-098

P0010 Intake camshaft position actuator solenoid valve control circuit
P0011 Intake camshaft position system performance
P0013 Exhaust camshaft position actuator solenoid valve control circuit
P0014 Exhaust camshaft position system performance

GM has determined that the camshaft position actuator is likely

the cause of all the symptoms and trouble codes.  Replace the intake and exhaust camshaft position sensors with the new parts listed below and update the PCM software.
