Toyota Throttle Body Relearn Procedure
After installing a new electronic throttle body or cleaning the throttle body, you must perform a throttle body relearn procedure. Here are the steps:
1. Turn off all accessories before performing this procedure.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable and leave it off for at least 60-seconds. This will wipe out the keep alive memory and allow the ECM to set a new throttle body calibration.
3. Reconnect the negative battery terminal
4. Turn the IGN key to ON but DO NOT TOUCH the accelerator pedal
5. Start the engine
Idle RPMS should be 610-710RPM (auto transmission) with AC off
Idle RPMS should be 650-750RPM (manual transmission) with AC off
