If you own a 2007-09 Jeep Compass or Jeep Patriot and you have a vibration at idle, start with this fix before replacing any parts. The vibration at idle affects the 2.0 and 2.4L engines. They can produce a vibration at idle  an uneven or surging idle while coasting in drive at speeds up to 5MPH. Chrysler has issued a software update to correct the problem.
