Ford Airbag Code B0092

Diagnose and fix Ford Airbag Code B0092

If you remove the door panels and disconnect any wires inside and find a FORD AIRBAG CODE B0092 afterwards, you probably didn’t install the crash sensor connector properly. This is a common problem and it affects ALL Ford models.

How to fix Ford Airbag Code B0092

The connector for the crash sensor has a red locking tab and it must be actuated AFTER you’ve installed the connector. If you have an airbag light on with a B0092, here’s how to solve the problem.

Disconnect the negative terminal from the car battery and let the vehicle sit for one hour to drain power from the airbag system. Don’t risk a false airbag deployment by working on the the system before it’s discharged.

Once you’re sure the power is drained, remove the door panel and vapor barrier. Pull down on the red locking clip and remove the connector. Then reinsert the connector fully until you hear it click into place. If you don’t hear the click, it’s not fully seated. Then push up on the red locking clip.
