Fix purge valve causes no start, stall and hesitation

GM has issued a service bulletin and purge valvewarranty extension #18029 for the 2015 model year vehicles listed below. A faulty purge valve causes no start, stall and hesitation condition when the purge valve leaks allowing full flow of stored gasoline vapors into the engine or excess air, causing a no start, stall or hesitation. You may also notice a ticking noise or idle speed variation as the computer tries to correct the improper air/fuel ratio. The problem most often occurs immediately after filling the tank with gas, while the EVAP system conducts a sealing test.

In addition to the systems listed above, you may see a check engine light.

Vehicles covered by the service bulletin

2015 Buick Enclave, LaCrosse
2015 Cadillac ATS, CTS, SRX, XTS
2015 Chevrolet Camaro, Caprice, Colorado, Equinox, Impala, Traverse
2015 GMC Acadia, Canyon, Terrain

GM has extended warranty coverage for the purge valve for 10 years or 120,000 miles, whichever occurs first. Contact the dealer for the free replacement
