Replacing the serpentine belt on a Honda is a relatively straightforward process that can be done in an hour or less. You’ll need basic hand tools like ratchets, sockets, a breaker bar, and a serpentine belt tool. Safety glasses and work gloves are also recommended.
The first step is to locate the serpentine belt tensioner pulley, which is usually near the crankshaft pulley at the front of the engine. Use a breaker bar or large ratchet to rotate the tensioner and relieve tension on the belt. With the tension relieved, slip the belt off the pulleys.
