Chrysler Change Oil Reset Procedures

Follow the procedures listed below to perform a Chrysler change oil reset

Caliber, Challenger, Charger and 300 Change Oil Reset Procedure

2015-2019 Challenger, Charger and 300 Change Oil Reset Procedure

Press Start/Stop button WITHOUT depressing the brake to place the ignition in the ON/RUN mode. Do NOT start the engine.

• Push and release the down arrow button on the steering wheel cluster display control menu until it displays “Vehicle Info.”
• Press and release the right arrow to get to the Oil Life Screen
• Push and hold the OK button until the numeric display shows 100%. That indicates the reset procedure worked.

If the display continues shows “To reset oil life engine must be off with ignition in run,” the conditions for reset have not been met. Try the above steps again. If the system still doesn’t reset, try this secondary method:

Secondary method for oil light reset

• Press Start/Stop button WITHOUT depressing the brake to place the ignition in the ON/RUN mode. Do NOT start the engine.
• Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly three (3) times within 10-seconds.
• Without pressing the brake, press Start/Stop button again to shut down the system.

2010-2014 Caliber, Challenger, Charger and 300 Change Oil Reset Procedure

With keyless ignition system

• Press Start/Stop button WITHOUT depressing the brake to place the ignition in the ON/RUN mode. Do NOT start the engine.
• Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly three (3) times within 10-seconds.
• Press Start/Stop button again to shut down the system. If the CHANGE OIL light comes on and stays on during the next start cycle, the reset did not work. Repeat the above steps again

With KEY ignition system

• Turn the key to the ON position, but do not start the engine.
• Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly three (3) times within 10-seconds.
• Turn the key to the OFF position. If the CHANGE OIL light comes on and stays on during the next start cycle, the reset did not work. Repeat the above steps again.

Avenger, Caliber, Challenger, Charger, Magnum, Sebring, and 300C Change Oil Reset prior to 2010

• Turn the key to the ON position, but do not start the engine.
• Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly three (3) times within 10-seconds.
• Turn the key to the OFF position. If the CHANGE OIL light comes on and stays on during the next start cycle, the reset did not work. Repeat the above steps again.

With keyless ignition system

• Press Start/Stop button WITHOUT depressing the brake to place the ignition in the ON/RUN mode. Do NOT start the engine.
• Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly three (3) times within 10-seconds.
• Press Start/Stop button again to shut down the system. If the CHANGE OIL light comes on and stays on during the next start cycle, the reset did not work. Repeat the above steps again

With KEY ignition system

• Turn the key to the ON position, but do not start the engine.
• Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly three (3) times within 10-seconds.
• Turn the key to the OFF position. If the CHANGE OIL light comes on and stays on during the next start cycle, the reset did not work. Repeat the above steps again

2016-2017 200 Change Oil Reset Procedure

• Press Start/Stop button WITHOUT depressing the brake to place the ignition in the ON/RUN mode. Do NOT start the engine.
• Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly three (3) times within 10-seconds.
• Press Start/Stop button again to shut down the system. If the CHANGE OIL light comes on and stays on during the next start cycle, the reset did not work. Repeat the above steps again

Secondary method

• Push and release the down arrow button on the steering wheel cluster display control menu until it displays “Vehicle Info.”

2010 Sebring, 2009-2014 Avenger and 2011-2015 200 Change Oil Reset Procedure

• Turn the key to the ON position, but do not start the engine.
• Fully depress the accelerator pedal slowly three (3) times within 10-seconds.
• Turn the key to the OFF position. If the CHANGE OIL light comes on and stays on during the next start cycle, the reset did not work. Repeat the above steps again
