Ford Maveric engine fires — recall

Ford is recalling 2022 Ford Maveric vehicles equipped with the 2.5L HEV or PHEV engines to correct engine failure that could release engine oil and fuel vapor into the engine compartment resulting in Ford Maveric fires.

Park and shut off engine in the event of engine noise, reduction in power or smoke

Lincoln advises Ford Maveric owners to immediately park and shut off the engine if they hear unexpected engine noise, experience a reduction in power or notice smoke from the engine compartment.

What Ford will do
