Transmission Leak Transmission slips in gear

My transmission leaks and slips GM has issued a TSB #08-07-30-009A regarding a Transmission Leak Transmission slips in gear. The TSB applies to ALL 2001-08 GM vehicles with front wheel drive and the 4T80-E transmission. The TSB advises dealers NOT to replace the transmission for this defect. The fix is to replace the 3rd clutch housing with a new part #8682114. The new part is made from an updated material to extend the life of the axle seal. © 2012 Rick Muscoplat

P0756 Transmission Code — GM Vehicles

Fix a P0756 Transmission Code — GM Vehicles GM has issued a TSB # 01-07-30-036C for P0756 Transmission Code on 2001-05 passenger cars and light duty trucks equipped with the 4L60-E or 4L65-E transmission. If the vehicle shows trouble code P0756, it’s a sign of a mechanical failure, not a problem an electrical connector. GM says that a small orifice on the top of the spacer plate can get clogged with debris and cause this trouble code. Should I get a transmission flush? All the quick oil change places push transmission flush services. But are they a good idea? UPDATE GM recently issued a technical service bulletin to their dealers regarding flushing services. I’ve posted it here.
