2.0 EcoBoost GTDI 4-cylinder reliability

Stainless steel exhaust manifold cracking is an issue. The manifold and turbocharger are a single unit. When one fails, the engine part must be replaced.

Turbocharger control valve failure is common.

The low-pressure fuel pump is a known failure item. And, as with all other GDI engines, carbon buildup on the intake valves is a constant problem
