How to diagnose and fix a coolant leak Hyundai Santa Fe
If you find a coolant leak coming from behind the AC compressor, you may wonder what the heck is going on. When the bearings fail on a normal water pump, the coolant leaks through the weep hole. It’s pretty easy to spot. But on the Hyundai 2.7L engine the designers didn’t want leaking coolant to drip onto the timing belt. So they built a passage to dump the coolant out behind the AC compressor.
If that’s where you discover the coolant leak, replace the 
water pump and it’ll solve the problem.
