Nissan power window relearn process

Learn how to perform a Nissan power window relearn process if the windows don’t work after a battery disconnect

Nissan has issued a service bulletin to address an issue where Nissan power windows don’t work after a battery disconnect or replacement or a window fuse has blown. Due to the loss of power, the windows have lost their calibration and you must perform a Nissan window relearn process described below.

This is NOT caused by the window regulator or window controller, so don’t replace either of those.

Nissan relearn process

1)    Turn the IGN to ON and open the window fully
2)    Close the window until it hits the stop and the top of the power window switchchannel and CONTINUE holding the window switch for an additional 4-secs.
3)    Repeat the process on all four windows
