Toyota 3.0 liter firing order and spark plug gap

Toyota 3.0 liter firing order and spark plug gap for the 1MZ-FE engine

Here you’ll find the Toyota 3.0 liter firing order and spark plug gap, along with the engine layout and other engine specifications.

The Toyota 1MZ-FE 3.0-liter V6 engine is installed in the Camry, Avalon, Highlander and some Lexus models, from 1993 to 2007.

The 1MZ-FE has an aluminum block with press-fitted cast-iron cylinder liners. It uses a forged crankshaft with 4 main journals. The aluminum alloy pistons have resin coated skirts in the VVT-i engines.

The aluminum cylinder heads are a dual overhead cam design with four valves per cylinder. The camshafts are driven by a timing belt.

The 1MZ-FE does NOT have hydraulic lifters, so a valve adjustment is recommended every 60K-80k miles.

The engine has multi-port fuel injection (MFI) and a variable length intake manifold. The ignition system has six coil-on-plug (COP) coils.

The non-VVT-i engines have an EGR valve, the VVT-i engine don’t; they have a block-off plate.
