Ford wants you to remove all the ignition coils and inspect them for cracks or signs of heat related damage. If you find any, replace all six coils with new parts and install new spark plugs.
Which coils should you buy?
Rockauto.com lists several brands of replacement ignition coils. In my experience the Denso and NGK brands are every bit as good as the Motorcraft brand. My personal opinion is that it’s not worth the savings to buy any of the other brands.
