Oxygen Sensor Acadia, Enclave Traverse
Failed Oxygen sensor Acadia, Enclave Traverse
GM has discovered that a power steering line leak may be the source of repeat failure of the oxygen sensor Acadia, Enclave Traverse. As oil leaks from the power steering line directly above the bank 1 oxygen sensor, the fluid infiltrates the oxygen sensor wiring. The resulting short results in a check engine light, rough idle and low power.
Check power steering line before replacing oxygen sensor
Examine the power steering line shown below and check for leaks. If you discover leaks, replace the line before replacing the oxygen sensor. If you skip this step, you will have repeat oxygen sensor failures.
