2004 F150 Emergency Fuel Pump Shut-Off Switch
This device prevents the electric fuel pump from supplying fuel to the engine after your vehicle experiences a significant impact. If your engine cranks but doesn’t start following an accident, the fuel pump shut-off switch may have been triggered.
The switch is located in the front passenger footwell, behind the kick panel cover, near the fuse box. To reset the fuel pump shut-off switch, you’ll need to remove the access cover.
To reset the switch:
Turn the ignition OFF.
Inspect the fuel system for any leaks.
If no leaks are found, press the reset button to reset the switch.
Turn the ignition ON.
Wait a few seconds, then turn off the engine.
Check again for leaks before proceeding
