• 6-point Combination wrenches – metric (8 – 21mm)
What’s the difference between a 6-point and 12-point combination wrench?
A 12-point combination wrench is great for 90% of the work you’ll do. A 12-point wrench allows you to grab onto the bolt head or nut, turn it and get another bite every 30°. With a 6-point wrench, you’ll need to turn the wrench 60°.
Here’s where you need 6-point combination wrenches: Any time you’re working on a rusted bolt or nut, you have a better chance or loosening the bolt without stripping it. 12-point wrenches and sockets will strip a rusted bolt head or nut much easier than a 6-point wrench or socket. You won’t use a 6-point wrench often, but when you need one, it’ll save the day.
Why you need ratcheting combination wrenches
It’s simple; they save a LOT of time and effort. And when you’re an auto tech, time is money.
