OBDII C Code List — Chassis related trouble codes

OBDII C Code List for generic and enhanced C codes

Chassis codes begin with the letter “C”. The first number after the letter denotes whether the code is generic (o) or manufacturer-specific (1), while the last three numbers/letters define the actual trouble code. This is not a complete list of OBDII C codes because carmakers are constantly adding enhanced codes.

The difference between a generic code and an enhanced code: The definition for a Generic trouble code is the same across all manufacturers. An enhanced code is manufacturer specific and sometimes even year, make and model specific.
