Warm AC on Camry with B1479 trouble code
Diagnose and fix a warm AC on Camry with B1479 trouble code
Toyota has issued a service bulletin #T-SB-0084-13 to address a warm AC Camry condition on the vehicles and VIN numbers listed below. Toyota describes the problem as an AC system that intermittently blows warm air from the vents with the AC on. A B1479 Flow Sensor Circuit trouble code may be stored in the AC system. The code can appear as a history code or a current code.

Warm AC Camry is caused by compressor flow sensor
Toyota has identified the cause of the problem as a malfunctioning AC compressor flow sensor as long as the trouble code B1479 is found.
A malfunctioning AC compressor flow sensor may cause this condition
How to check the flow sensor
Start the engine with an appropriate scan tool connected. Check the flow sensor voltage. If the AC is OFF and the voltage reading is LESS than 3.7 V, Check the harness between the A/C compressor flow sensor and the A/C amplifier. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

Check the harness between the A/C compressor flow sensor and the A/C amplifier.
1. Disconnect the I77 air conditioning amplifier assembly connector.
2. Disconnect the E75 cooler compressor assembly (A/C flow sensor) connector.
3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below
If values are within spec, replace the AC compressor with

Toyota AC compressor 88310-0R014
updated part 88310-0R014. If the values fail to follow the table, repair or replace the wiring harness. Then, clear the trouble code
If the A/C is ON and the voltage reading is MORE than 3.7 V, evacuate the A/C system and verify the refrigerant charge level. If the system is under charge, recharge it and see if the B1479 DTC resets.
